Condition
Colours:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is richer and deeper in the original. The browns in the top section of the front of the book tend more towards rich caramel brown and the chalky whites to the lower left and lower right corners of the front and back covers tend more towards dove grey in the original.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. There is a network of cracking throughout both front and back covers of the book, inherent to the media employed by the artist and visible in the catalogue illustration. The upper left corner tip of the back cover is slightly rubbed. There is a small paint loss to the centre of the upper extreme edge of the front cover (visible in the catalogue illustration). There are a few fine hairs and superficial dust adhering to the spine and in places to the crevices.
