Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original. The paper tone tends more towards biscuit-beige in the original. Condition: The work is in very good condition and is securely held to the mount in the top left and right corners. The sheet is very slightly time-stained and there is a very narrow area of extremely pale discolouration to the right extreme edge. There is a very small light rub mark to the right of the top knot of the figure's tie. There are a number of isolated pale pinhead-sized spots of discolouration and tiny media accretions in places to the sheet.
