Colours:
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter, more vibrant with the blue hues tending more towards pink and purple in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey the beautifully textured surface in the composition.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. There is a tiny spot of paint loss 6 cm up from the centre-left of visible in the catalogue illustration. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
