Condition
Colours:
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer and the individual colours in the stripes are more saturated in the original.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. The paper is very slightly discoloured along the four extreme edges. There are a number of tiny spots of pale brown staining: at intervals along the upper and central sections of the extreme right edge, to the centre of the left extreme edge, and to the bottom edge adjacent to the lower left corner visible upon close inspection only. There is a minute pinprick sized media accretion 2 cm in from the centre of the right extreme edge. There is a tiny pale pinhead-sized media accretion to the left side above the central horizontal axis. The right extreme corner tip is very slightly rubbed. In raking light a fine horizontal scratch to the plexiglass in the lower left quadrant can be discerned.
