Condition
Colours:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant with the yellow in the upper horizontal section pertaining more towards acid yellow in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Each of the four extreme corners are slightly rubbed. There are very fine matrices of extremely light craquelure to the thicker passages of yellow impasto in places throughout the composition. A small network of fine surface cracks is evident upon close examination to the yellow impasto stroke adjacent to the top of the right extreme edge. There is a very fine hairline crack running diagonally up from the lower left corner. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
