Condition
Colours:
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration , although the overall tonality is slightly richer and deeper with stronger contrasts in the original. The red of the scissors tends more towards a rich dark scarlet red in the original.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. The edges are slightly uneven and there is very light undulation to the sheet. A very narrow margin of time-staining is visible in places to the top extreme edge. There are a few scattered fibres of surface dirt adhering to the felt throughout the composition.
