Condition

Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer, with the orange-red in the background tending more to deep crimson in the original. Condition: The work is in very good condition. There is a light horizontal rub mark to the lower right quadrant, with associated pinprick-sized specks of paint loss, visible in the catalogue illustration. A very small rub mark can be discerned upon close inspection towards the top of the right extreme edge. There are four tiny pinhead-sized paint losses to the left side of the central horizontal section, two of which fluoresce when examined under ulatrviolet light.
