Condition

Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is richer and deeper in the original. Condition: The work is in good condition. There is some wear to each extreme edge and to the four corners which has resulted in a few minor scatered spots of paint loss and fine tension cracks to the overturn in places. There are two further tiny spots of paint loss to the left side of the lower extreme edge, visible in the catalogue illustration. There is a small stroke craquelure to the centre of the lower left quadrant and a small patch of surface cracking at the centre of the composition. A few scattered spots of retouching fluoresces under ultraviolet light, a small line to the upper centre of the right extreme edge .
