Condition

Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the paper tone is brighter and more vibrant in the original. Condition: The work is in very good condition. The upper left and lower right extreme corner tips are bending inwards slightly and each corner tip is slightly rubbed. There is a very narrow margin of extremely light wear and slight rubbing running intermittently in places to the extreme edges. There are a few scattered fine and faint rub marks. A few spots of a different black pigment are visible upon very close inspection in raking light: two to the upper right quadrant, a small line to the top of the left figure's right arm, and another to the left of the bottom figure's head which would all appear to be original to the work's execution. A few tiny pinprick-sized pale foxmarks are visible only upon extremely close inspection to the topmost part of the upper extreme edge above the signature.
