Condition

Colours: The coloursare fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer with greater contrast in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey the silver metallic light-reflective quality of the fabric collage to the left side of (i) in the original. The different textures of each individual piece of collage throughout both works is not accurately conveyed in the catalogue illustration. Condition: (i) The work is in very good condition. There is a short horizontal line of pale discolouration to the centre of the left edge. There is a semi-circular rub mark to the exterior of the plexiglass box running from top to bottom, left of centre and a few further light scattered rub marks to the plexiglass elsewhere. The lower right corner is bending downwards though this is original to the work's execution (ii) The work is in very good condition. The upper left extreme corner tip is very slightly bent. There is a vertical rub mark (4cm in length) to the left centre of the upper extreme edge. A few scattered handling marks and unobtrusive fine scratches are visible in raking light to the exterior of the plexiglass.
