Condition

Slightly lighter color than in catalogue illustration. Field is navy blue. Deep blue field and design elements are generally in good 1/10" piles with dark browns oxidized to knotheads and foundation and border ground is dark brown. Border has very tactile relief effect. Some areas in border with pile low to knotheads due to wear and scattered moth damage tracks low to knotheads. 1" x 1/2" hole near right edge due to moth damage. Center generally better overall pile. Sides overcast with dark blue wool slightly fraying. Ends with losses to barberpole guardstripes, now secured by blanket stitch. Dense weave, robust handle, will enhance with cleaning, lustrous wool, sound fabric and condition, unusual design. will enhance with cleaning
