Condition

Color lighter and cleaner in reality; red a true tomato red, fresher greens, blues and yellow. An 8 inch band of abrash at top of field where red becomes paler brick red. Pile ranges from areas in border of near original 1/6 inch with areas of wear and foldwear low to knotheads and foundation as visible in catalogue. An 18 inch foldwear slit at left side of medallion, 10 x 1 inch hole at base of medallion, scattered smaller holes. Partial outer barberpole guard stripes with some losses at corners; right side and ends with nicks into outer reciprocal dart guard border. Flexible handle, sound fabric. Red wool wefts. Superb color and spacious design; condition reflected in the estimate.
