Condition

Slightly lighter and warmer color overall- field is more green than it appears in catalogue. 1/8" pile overall. Slightly fraying and losses to selvages. End fringes with small losses. Dense weave. Good overall condition. Colours marginally softer in reality. Pile generally 1/th inch overall, with horizontal weft indentations visible at approx. 5/16th inch intervals; taupe brown details varyingly oxidised, in some cases to foundation; side cords with some light wear; madder surround reduced at each end to outer guard stripes, ends secured with blanket stitch; four corroded spots in lower left hand corner of field in one rug - this rug also has some wear in centre of end borders wit spot foundation visible; a very unusual pair of rugs: relatively rare format for Khorassan weavings, nicely drawn.
