Color slightly warmer and lighter in reality. Pile generally good, near original very closely sheared 1/10 inch with dark brown outlines oxidized to knotheads. Lines of abrash where outlines are dark blue instead of brown, visible in catalogue illustration, across center of rug. Three small (1/2 inch diameter) dark spots in left ivory border. Very minor foldwear showing warps in a 3/4 by 1/4 inch area. Original purple silk selvages intact with minor fraying. Original lower 1/3 inch flatwoven end finish. Upper end with minor losses to brown end guard stripe. Both ends now secured with binding stitch. Flexible handle, dense weave, good condition overall.
