Condition
Color is generally accurate in the illustration with softer madder reds and warmer, cleaner ivories in reality. Pile ranges from approximately 1/4 of an inch to low to knot heads and foundation in areas of oxidization. Oxidized browns and scattered foldwear in field and border. Approximately 5in. by 0.5in. rewoven outer guard stripe at upper left corner. Approximately 1in. by 0.5in. rewoven outer guard stripe at lower right corner. Two, approximately 1in. by 1in. reweaves in border and field at center of rug. Sides complete with original selvage, ends with original flatwoven ends folded under and sewn. Good overall condition, supple handle, nicely oxidized browns, ready for use.
