with an inscription panel, the inscription reading: “farmayesh-e sarkar-e ‘ali muqarrab al-khaqan sharaf al-mulk adama allah iqbalahu al-‘ali. mobarak bada” (Commissioned by His High Excellency, the one close to the king Sharaf al-Mulk, may God make his exalted fortune eternal. May it be blessed.)

One ‘Ali Akbar Khan is listed as having received the title Sharaf al-Mulk by Nasir al-Din Shah before 1300 (AD 1882-3); the inscription may refer to him, ref.
