The sheet has not been laid down. There has been some overall paper staining and the colours are somewhat faded. Overall the work is in fair condition.

Catalogue Note
Between 1855 and 1857 Edward Lear had based himself on the Greek island of Corfu. Leaving the island in the early spring of 1857, Lear travelled through mainland Greece on his way home. The present sheet represents the landscape surrounding the villages of Zagorochoria, in the Epiros region.
