Condition
The sheet is in overall good condition. The medium remains strong and fresh. There are creases in the work as the sheet was originally a letter. The wax seal is a cracked. In general the work has been very well preserved.

Catalogue Note
The author of the letter on the verso of this sheet is Francesco Bartolozzi (1728–1815). He was a master engraver, who although born in Florence, lived in London for the majority of his life. He arrived in Britain in 1764 and in 1768 was a founding member of the Royal Academy.
