Condition

The canvas has been relined. Stretcher marks are clearly visible to the upper, right and left borders and there is scattered craquleure throughout. There is also an area of paint seperation to thesky in the lower right quadrant. Ultraviolet light reveals infilling to craqulure and scattered spots of retouching to the foreground and tree in the centre. Held in a decorative plaster gilt frame.
