Condition

Original canvas. There is considerable craquelure and some cupping throughout, particularly across the sky area. A discoloured varnish throughout. Ultraviolet light reveals a few patches of old retouching to the sky and the suggestion of some spots to the foreground although a thick varnish prevents a conclusive examination. Held in a simple gold composite frame with some wear.
