Condition
Original canvas. There are stretcher marks around the periphery and scattered surface dirt and craquelure. There is an 'L' shaped tear (approx 1in.) to the canvas in the lower left corner and a couple of small chips to the paint in the lower right and left hand edge. Ultraviolet light reveals some infilling to craquelure in the immediate foreground and a spot to an old damage on the centre left edge. Held in a decorative plaster gilt frame.
