Condition

The canvas has been relined. There are some patches of craquelure to the sky and the sea which are only visible upon close inspection. There are a few areas where there are some tiny scattered brown specs of staining. There is some surface dirt. Otherwise in good overall condition. Ultra violet light reveals extensive retouching to the sky and further spots to the right half and elsewhere. Held in a wooden frame.
