Condition
Canvas appears to be original. There are stretcher marks running down the right and left border of the canvas and scattered craquelure throughout. Ultraviolet light reveals retouching to the outline of the sitter, hat, face, a patch along the lower border and scattered spots elsewhere. Held in a decorative gold composite frame.
