Condition

The canvas has been relined. Some frame abrasions are visible on the right edge but this is otherwise in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals considerable patches of retouching throughout the sky, foreground and to the figure and horse. Held in a decorative plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
