  • oil on canvas

  • 122 by 202 cm.; 48 by 79½ in.

Condition

The canvas has been lined. The reverse of the canvas is concealed beneath a protective cover, preventing a more detailed inspection. There is craquelure to the paint surface in places and a suggestion of some extremely minor paint shinkage in isolated areas. There is some light surface dirt and the paint is slightly thin in minor isolated areas. Otherwise is good condition and ready to hang. Ultraviolet reveals several spots of scattered retouching in the sky, to the lower left quadrant and some very minor spots elsewhere. Held in a heavily decorated gold painted frame in fair condition. Under non-reflective glass and unexamined out of frame.
