Description

  • Frida Kahlo
Coyoacan, 10 avril 1943.
Elle s'est inquiétée du silence de Julien Levy, "I was so worried about you being in the army". Elle espère venir prochainement visiter sa nouvelle galerie et son nouvel appartement :"Do you still have that beautiful bed with iron leaves?". Elle accepte avec enthousiasme l'idée d'une exposition à New York l'année d'après, "the latest the best because I have painting little recently (...) I am teaching in a school of paintings so I waste all morning there and paint only in the afternoons, so I have very little time in reality". Elle a déjà parlé du projet à Diego Rivera "and he is willing too". Elle le remercie d'avoir vendu un de ses tableaux : "Baby, you made me so happy selling that painting of mine, because I didn't have a damn cent (...) You don't have to worry about not having any thing of mine, because I promise to paint a self portrait for you and that is a cinch. And besides it will be a sweel one." Elle demande des nouvelles de Duchamp :"Have you seen Marcel ? How is he ? Give him my love (...) I kiss your magnificent eyes and you know I adore you as always. Frida".
