Description
Condition
The box is very impressive with an excellent quality of carving. It is restored to a very high standard with age cracks secured to the cover and the base and re lacquered inner rim. Some thinner hairline age cracks are still showing vertically inside the cover as well as inside the foot rim. The colour of the cinabar lacquer is more intense and less orangey than the illustration would suggest.
