Un exemple similaire, sur un socle de jade, a été vendu dans nos salles, Hong Kong, 23 octobre 2005, lot 413 et un exemple en lapis lazuli figurait dans l'exposition Buddhist Art from Rehol, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei, 1999, cat n° 81.

Condition

The figure's head has been broken and professionally restored . Another repair is visisble along the left shoulder and below his left sleeve, another vertically along its back. Two small nicks to the bottom rim of the statue. The figure is otherwise well craved and the malachite of a good color.
