représenté assis sur un rocher, le bras gauche posé sur le rocher, ce sage tient dans sa main droite des tablettes, son visage finement sculpté esquisse un sourire, vêtu d'une longue robe et d'un chapeau, l'arrière également finement sculpté montrant les plis de la robe, la ceinture et le rocher
Condition
Note that the hair and beard are nicely carved (very naturalistic movement, curve of the beard, the face with expression (sketching a smile).
The base shows typical bamboo dots.
On the back, small old chips on the robe (right arm 0.5cm), left side of rock (0.3cm)
and others tiny chips on the robe (0.1cm); also, two small restorations on the back, one below the belt (0.3 x 0.4cm.), another above (0.7 x 0.2cm.).
Color is darker in reality (less yellow, more brown) than shown in the catalogue illustration.
Overall in good condition.
