Description

  • Height 15 3/8 in
reposant sur un pied légèrement évasé à décor de feuilles, le corps arrondi décoré de guerriers et cavaliers dans un paysage fleuri de rochers, la scène entre une bande de fleurs, rinceaux à l'épaulement et motifs géométriques autour de la base, le long col décoré de tulipes stylisées, l'élégante anse en forme d'oreille, couvercle et monture à l'anse en étain 

Literature

Le couvercle en étain serait un travail occidental datant du XIXème.

Condition

The white glaze has a nice blue tint at bottom. Note some small chips on the mouth rim; a chip at bottom on foot rim (1.5cm); tiny black paint residue on the warrior scene. On the base, old provenance sticker reading "Guvatchel, 3 rue de l'Université, thés et curiosités, Paris" On the handle: one small chip on handle (near the pewter mount); chips with blue and white glaze piece (belonging to another piece) put over it, along the handle; the same on the handle final. Otherwise, in good condition.
