A silver-inlaid brass tray, Khurasan, 12th-13th century

of shallow form with scalloped cavetto and narrow flattened rim, inlaid in silver with calligraphic bands of naskh, the centre with two interlaced equilateral triangles within a circle against a ground filled with arabesques and crescent moons,  the rim with naskh bands interrupted by crescent motifs, silver inlay refreshed
