An Iznik polychrome rimless dish, Turkey, circa 1575

of shallow rounded form painted in underglaze cobalt blue, veridian green and relief red and outlined in black with a central bouquet of tulips in a vase decorated by blossoms flanked by two prunus saz leaves and broken-stemmed tulips emanating from a leafy tuft, the narrow rim with half-blossom motif, the reverse with alternating bouquets and rosettes
