of shallow rounded form with a raised central omphalos engraved with the face of the sun, the cavetto with radial foliated panels engraved below a frieze of conjoined roundels set between minor bands, all finely engraved with naskh inscriptions, the exterior with ensuite decoration with an epigraphic frieze interrupted by the twelve zodiacal signs in roundels, the underside with a swirling petal panel design filled with further inscriptions
