Condition

Moth damage to borders, upper end with mainly original red soumak flatwoven end finish now secured, partial fringes, lower end with some losses to plain red surround, ends now secured, partial fringing, old moth damage and repiled moth to areas principally in left hand border with scattered moth along edges elsewhere, pile evenly fair to low in centre of field where spot foundation visible in dark blue ground, dense foundation typical of early Bidjars on wool foundation, an attractive carpet with an open version of the Garrus design and unusual delicate border.
