Description

  • 'Bucan' in red enamel on the base
  • the lamp 33.4cm., 13 1/8 in.
signed, the compressed globular form with wide flaring upper section, applied around the body with six suspension loops, above an everted double-walled foot, painted and gilt with elaborate formal stylised flowers and foliage below three circular medallions and a broad interlaced scrolling band at the rim, the slightly indented base painted and gilt in the centre with a rosette, together with the original elaborate gilt bronze suspension chains and three candle-holders, the shaped links and scroll candle-arms finely decorated in champlevé enamels with flowers and scroll on a blue ground, with ceiling rose
