both of square form, decorated with underglaze cobalt blue, veridian green and relief red, outlined in black, the first with a cusped palmette cartouche enclosing sprays of tulips and carnations, surrounded by stems of lotus palmettes, prunus and saz, the other with a central lotus palmette surrounded by scrolling tendrils of tulip and saz rosette
Condition
overall in good condition, chips to extremities, 3 in. hairline crack running from the lower edge towards the lotus palmette, the other with chips and loss to lower edge, minor hairline crack to glaze running from right edge towards the centre, as viewed
