Description

each door of rectangular form with inset panels deeply carved and painted in polychrome with oblong star-form cartouches enclosing high-relief floral and foliate motifs with strapwork above and below, the subsiduary panels with shallow-carved inscriptions and arabesques, the borders with rosettes on ribbon bands

Condition

traces of worming no longer active, minor losses and abrasions to extremities, splitting lower right corner of right door with associated repair and rivets, visible in catalogue illustration, rubbing a loss to polychrome decoration particularly to bottom panel of left door, as viewed
