Description
- approximately 129 1/2 in. by 73 3/4 in.
- 3.3 m by 1.9 m
late 19th century, finely embroidered with a central design of a large stylized lotus blossom borne on scrolling tendrils issuing further small blossoms, with eight flying bats interspersed among the flora, all enclosed within a central panel and bordered by a band of archaistic scrolls, a second band of floral scrolls, and an outer band of swastika keyfret pattern, all against a golden-yellow velvet ground.

Condition
Condition: there are three tears, 8 ½ inches long, 1 inch long, and 3 inches long. There are three patched rips and holes to one corner. There are minor ink (?) stains throughout, with two large stains to one corner. There is expected wear to the velvet. The lining is later.
This lot will be sold without reserve.
