Woman: Unlined, visible frame abrasion along lower and bottom edges, 1/4 inch scuff to surface above her right shoulder, two 2 by 1 inch areas of inpainting at upper right and center right edge; under UV: varnish fluoresces unevenly, inpainting surrounding aforementioned scuff, aforementioned inpainting fluoresces, several small strokes of inpainting around her ear in her hair, very minor pindots of inpainting to background, inpainting along bottom edge to address frame abrasion. Man: Unlined, widely patterned craquelure visible in background; under UV: 3 by 2 inch area of inpainting on his right shoulder beneath gold decoration, small dots of inpainting to her lower right torso in his sash, spots of inpainting through his beard, including a 2 inch horizontal line at center beard, several spots of inpainting through his cheeks into his hairline, 2 by 1 inch area of inpainting above his left shoulder, dots and dashes throughout the background, varnish fluoresces unevenly. This lot will be offered without reserve.
