Catalogue Note

Reinhold Fredric Lindroth (1790-1840) was active in the Swedish and Russian courts.  An identical model is in the Nordiska Museet in Stockholm, another is recorded as sold or missing from the Hermitage Museum.  A closely comparable pair of candelabra is illustrated, G. Wannenes, Les Bronzes Ornementaux et les Objets Montés,  Milan 2004, p. 382.
