Minor restorations to the decorative bands. Small restorations to the veneer in areas consistent with age. Very minor and sparse chips along the edges. In overall very good condition.

The sober elegance of this screen is inspired by English furniture of the late 18th century. A nearly identical 18th century screen is in Elizavetta Alexievna's room in Tsarskoe Selo, fig. 1, and illustrated, N. N. Sobolev, Furniture Measurements, published by the Academy of Architecture of the USSR, vol. I, Moscow, 1940, p. 41.
