Description

  • height 36 1/4 in.; width 63 1/2 in.; depth 28 1/2 in.
  • 92 cm; 161 cm; 72 cm
each with a demi-lune white marble top.

Condition

Marble tops in excellent condition, but with usual minor chips to the edges. Consoles structurally sound and in excellent condition, with minor areas of wear. Some old worm, and minor losses.

Catalogue Note

The demi-lune shape, quality of the carving and white-painted and parcel-gilt decoration of these consoles are characteristic of Neapolitan furniture.  A related Neapolitan console made circa 1780 from the Piero Accorsi collection is illustrated, G.
