With very minor chips and scratches consistent with age, minor rubbing to the gilding and paint. In overall very good condition.

Catalogue Note
The present lot is inspired by a pair of larger carved, painted and gilt corazze illustrated, Alvar Gonzáles-Palacios, Fasto Romano: dipinti, sculture, arredi dai Palazzi di Roma, Rome, 1991, p. 218, n. 183-184, pl. XXXVII, fig. 1. The latter example derives from corazze in the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Vittoria which commemorate the Battle of Prague in 1620.
