Condition
Circa 1890.
Colors in illustration are generally accurate with slightly rosier reds in reality. Pile ranges from approximately 1/10 of an inch to low to knot heads. Partially oxidized browns. Approximately 2in. by 6in. repiled area in lower section of field, as visible in illustration. Approximately 4in. by 0.5in. rewoven area at lower end. Original flatwoven upper end finish with cloth tape sewn on reverse. Sides original. Extremely supple handle, good overall condition, ready for use.
