  • Diam. of dinner plate: 9 1/4 in.
comprising three demi-tasse cups and saucers, three coffee cups and saucers, and two salad plates, all with the LZ monogram for Luftschiff Zeppelin and each marked Heinrich-Elfenbein-Porzellen/ GRAF ZEPPELIN/ 1928 and with printed factory marks; additionally there are three dinner plates and four salad plates decorated with the logo of the Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei, each marked Heinrich-Elfenbein-Porzellen/ Eigentum Der Deutschen/ Zeppelin Reederei and with printed factory marks, together with two silver-plated forks and two sliver plated knives each stampted DZR and with the logo of the Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei.  25 pieces

Condition

In generally good overall condition consistent with age and use. One demi-tasse cup has a 1/4 inch rim chip and one coffe cup has a restored break (visible as a hairline crack).

The items bearing the LZ monogram were created for use aboard the Graf Zeppelin (LZ 127).  The other items bearing the Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei logo were created after 1935 when the new zeppelin airline company was formed.
