  • A Cypriot Limestone Figure of a Votary
  • Height 13 in. 33 cm.
striding with his left leg forward and holding his clenched right hand on the abdomen, and wearing a short kilt decorated with addorsed uraei on the overfold in front, broad belt, double hoop earrings, and headcloth flaring at the back, his face with outlined high cheekbones, large eyes, and long tapering eyebrows in relief.

Condition

repaired at neck with restoration along breakline, hairline cracks below shoulders, across proper right forearm, proper left elbow, and below belt may indicate further repairs, note damage to face and proper left shoulder as well as area of abrasion on top of head, knuckles possibly restored in painted plaster
