Description

  • An Attic White Ground Lekythos
  • Height 7 5/16 in. 18.6 cm.
painted in black and brown wash with Herakles destroying the house of Nereus with a trident, broken vessels on the ground, the inscription KALOS in the field, a linked palmette and lotus flower at left, a double palmette at right, meander below the shoulder, linked palmettes on the shoulder, tongues below the neck.
