- An Attic Black-figured Belly Amphora, attributed to the Manner of the Lysippides Painter
- Height 17 3/8 in. 44.1 cm.
decorated in front with Athena flanked by two fighting warriors in full armor, Odysseus holding a Boeotian shield and Diomedes a shield emblazoned with a ship's prow, inscriptions in the field identifying the figures, the reverse painted with a standing figure of ivy-wreathed Dionysos holding a kantharos before a maenad and flanked by two dancing satyrs, linked lotus buds above each scene, rays above the foot, the details in added red and white.

General very good and as shown; note scratches, abrasions, small chips, and small areas of paint loss. Black glaze very thin or misfired below one handle
