Description

  • A Large Limestone Head of a Bull, probably South Arabian
  • Length 16 in. 40.5 cm.
of naturalistic form with ribbed and arched brows, larges eyes drilled at the corners, and flat forehead covered by a mass of unruly curly hair, the back carved for attachment, the interior hollowed out.

Condition

muzzle repaired with restorations along breakline and on areas of surface; hairline crack along part of restored area on top of muzzle, back of head is fragmentary and slightly more of the back of the head behind the eye on the proper right side is missing than on the proper left side, minor chips and surface wear
