- An Apulian Red-figured Bell Krater
- Height 12 in. 30.5 cm.
decorated on one side with a maenad holding a branch and cista and a satyr holding a situla and thyrsus, a plant between them, the reverse with two standing draped youths, one holding a staff.
Provenance
received as a gift between 1989 and 1992, reputed to have been acquired at Sotheby's or Christie's
Condition
repaired from several fragments with minor losses and inpainting along the breaklines, surface has been waxed
